"The diet world tells us we need to have 'willpower' or 'control,' but really being kinder to yourself and giving yourself credit for all you are doing now and everything you have been through is key."

Aurora Hawk, MS, RD, LDN

Aurora Hawk has been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist since 2007. She has worked in a variety of settings including: dialysis clinics, hospitals, and long-term care facilities. It was rewarding to help nutritionally those who were ill, but she knew she wanted to assist as a dietitian in the wellness and prevention side of healthcare.

As she got a job in this realm, she formed a new vision about what health and wellness truly is. Rather than a number on the scale or a certain look or way of eating, it encompasses mental health, which is just as important as physical health.

The diet world tells us we need to have "willpower" or "control," but really being kinder to yourself and giving yourself credit for all you are doing now and everything you have been through is key.

A weight inclusive approach to dietetics is what Aurora provides because there is so much more than just food and movement when it comes to health!
